Edge Signs and our History
The company was incorporated in 2006
by Les Edge, who has been a traditional sign writer since 1977. For over 30 years Les has worked in the sign
industry and has built a strong reputation for attention to detail,
and skilful approach to traditional master writing and gilding. Les
first adopted computer aided sign writing in the late 80's as an additional stream to his business, originally investing in one of the
first Gerber systems ever released to market. As technology and customer's requirements have developed and changed we
have continued to commit to excellence, blending experience with
innovation.
Now the company has grown to include more talent and skill to offer a more
complimentary service. These services are split between 3 brands which are
as follows:

Edge
Signs
The core business of sign making and vinyl graphics which can offer all
types and levels of signage for today's modern market.
As one of the largest sign makers in North Oxfordshire we strive to offer
the best quality service to our clients. This has proved to increase the
confidence in our customer to use us as a prime supplier for all of their
signage requirements.
We not only deal with the general public for smaller sign requests but we
also fulfil larger orders for public sector organisations and corporate
fleet livery, this by no means that our prices will be huge as we quote each
job individually.
Edge Traditional
From his original sign writing skills from the 1970's our traditional
sign writer is now well known as one of the best in the country and as a
testament of his skill he is asked to complete projects all around the UK
and even around the world.
General skills include traditional writing on hard and soft materials,
gilding (including on glass), signboard creation and preparation,
traditional shop front painting and sign writing, murals and Trompe l'oeil
(the art of creating 3 dimensional illusions on flat surfaces).
Our traditional skills do not stop at signage as we are also trusted
installers of conceptual and contemporary art. Les Edge has been exclusively
commissioned to produce the work of the late "Ian Hamilton Finlay" who passed
away in July 2009, when requested by his estate. This has taken Les to
various countries and the full length of the UK to complete these

Edge Identity
New for 2010, Edge Identity has been introduced to give our customers
access to the design and marketing standards of a corporate business. This
will create a new
